BitFox (bitfox.online) is a private initiative of Roy Derks, based in Spain. You can reach us at redactie@bitfox.online.
What these terms cover
These terms apply to the use of the website, the newsletter, the members area and all other services of BitFox. By signing up, creating an account or using the website you agree to these terms, the disclaimer and the privacy policy.
What BitFox is and is not
BitFox offers news, explanations, calculators and learning material. It is not a financial service. Everything is education and not advice, as explained in the disclaimer. You remain responsible for your own decisions and for checking information at the source.
Account and sign up
You must be at least 16 years old to sign up. You give correct details and keep your login details secret. You are responsible for what happens with your account. Creating an account is free. You can always delete your account yourself on the account page.
Permitted use
You do not use BitFox for unlawful purposes and do not try to disrupt the website, its security or other users. Automatically collecting large amounts of content without permission is not allowed. We may block or delete accounts in case of abuse.
Intellectual property
The texts, illustrations, design and the name BitFox belong to BitFox or the rights holder. You may share articles through the share buttons or with a short quote and a link to the source. Copying or publishing content on a large scale requires written permission.
Stock game and practice portfolio
The stock game and the practice portfolio use play money. No real money is involved, you cannot win or withdraw anything and the balance has no value. Prices in the game may be delayed or rounded. Results in the game say nothing about what you would achieve with real money. We may change the game or reset the standings, for example after an error or misuse.
Reporting errors and infringements
If you see a mistake, or believe something on BitFox infringes your rights, such as an image or text that is yours, email redactie@bitfox.online with the page and a short explanation. We will look at it quickly and change or remove it if you are right.
No guarantee of availability
We aim for a website that always works but cannot guarantee it. We may change or end the website, features and these terms. For important changes we will let you know and ask for agreement again where needed.
Liability
BitFox and Roy Derks are not liable for damage from using the website or from decisions based on its content, to the extent the law allows. That also applies to damage from outages, incorrect or delayed data and third party websites. Liability for intent or gross negligence and statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded remain.
Applicable law
BitFox is run from Spain. Spanish law applies to these terms. If you live in another EU country, you keep the mandatory protection of the consumer law of that country, and you may also bring a dispute before the court where you live. We first try to resolve disputes together through redactie@bitfox.online.
